Post-Doctoral Research Position in Organic Optoelectronics

The Organic Optoelectronics Laboratory at Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Physics anticipates an opening for a postdoctoral researcher beginning June 1, 2004.  The position involves the study of the electrical properties of self-organizing (liquid crystalline) semiconductors in reduced dimensions.  It involves both modeling and measurement of charge mobility, photogeneration and injection in organic semiconductors. Experience in sample fabrication and measurement of organic and polymeric semiconductors/conductors is preferred.  The position will require the fabrication of thin film samples in our optical materials fabrication facility, the measurement of electrical and optical properties, and modeling of physical mechanisms.  A Ph.D. in physics or related physical chemistry or materials science fields is required.  The appointment is for one year, renewable for a second year.  More information about the research group can be found at http://nlo-server.phys.case.edu .   Those interested in applying should send their CV and the names and addresses of three references to:
